Palmistry is the practice of evaluating a persons character or potential future life by interpreting the shape of the hands, fingers, major and minor lines, and mounts (or bumps) in a person's palm.
It is also my favorite form of divination. The lines in the hands form a wonderful road map that looks at many aspects of each person's life. While some hands may be similar, each one is wonderfully unique.
An idea shared by both past and current palm readers is that there is a strong relationship between the hands and the rest of the human body. The human body has long been thought to be a microcosm of the entire cosmos, with the astrological signs represented through the body from head to toe. Seen from this perspective, the hand then becomes the microcosm of the microcosm, and when used in the pursuit of self-discovery, provides us with a deeper understanding of the universe around us.
It has been well documented that our mental and physical processes are intimately intertwined. Keeping in mind the ways in which our inner physical states are seen in our hands, it is easy to see how a similar relationship can be established between our inner mental states and our hands, and how the hand may be then seen as an index to our overall physical and psychological condition at any point in time.
I offer a variety of services for Plamistry. I can provide a short reading with a look at major lines, or we can make an appointment for a more in-depth reading to look at your minor lines and their effects in combination with other characteristics in your hand.
