Numerology is both a science and a philosophy, developed by Pythagoras over 2,500 years ago. In numerology, numbers are treated differently to mathematics, in that they have a quality associated with them as opposed to just a measurement of quantity.
Numerology is still just as relevant today as it was to the ancient philosphers. It is not "magic by numbers" but a serious tool to understand what makes each of us tick.
The numbers 1 to 9 are the building blocks of numerology and therefore all other numbers are reduced to a single digit by adding each digit together until the number is reduced down to just one digit.
For example the number 68 is considered as two digits 6 and 8 which when added together is equal to 14. If we do the same to 14 (1 and 4) then these when added together equal 5. This gives a reduction of the number "68" to it's core value of "5".
By looking at the core number values derived from your date of birth (such as day number, month number, year number etc) and from your name (first, middle, last names, vowels, consonants etc) a profile or blueprint of who you are can be built. This will describe your core values and characteristics such as:
Life Path: Your Life Path number gives you a broad outline of the opportunities, challenges, and lessons you will encounter in this lifetime. It is the road you are traveling.
Personal Year: Your Personal Year number gives you a guildeline as to challenges and lessons you will likely encounter over the next year.
Expression: Your Expression, or Destiny, represents a lifelong target at which you are aiming -- your inner goal and the person you aim to be.
Soul Urge: This number is the inner you. It reveals the general intention behind many of your actions.
Personality:Your Personality number indicates how others perceive you.
Important Cycles and Life Path Periods : Anticipate trends in life lessons or challenges in the long term.
Compatability : How do your personal numbers aid or conflict in your personal relationships?
